Aliante Golf Club and OB Sports recently unveiled new “Family Tees” and accompanying “Kids Play Free program”, designed to create more family friendly opportunities for golfers of this popular facility in North Las Vegas. The Family Tees create a new option for juniors, new or beginning golfers to experience the Gary Panks-designed Aliante Golf Club. These additional tees provide a shorter layout and offer beginning golfers a routing option that plays to a par of 61 with a total yardage of just 2,633 (1490 yards on the front nine and 1143 on the back nine). Aliante still boasts their regular tees that play the course as a par of 72 with yardages ranging from 5340 to 7022.
“Golf does not have ‘bunny slopes’ like the ski industry does,” stated Phil Green, President of OB Sports Golf Management (the management company overseeing operations of Aliante Golf Club. “So I guess you could say this is our version of golf’s bunny slope. We created these forward tees will make Aliante even more playable for junior golfers, beginning players and even returning players to the game. We are already seeing some new golfers and parents with their children spending quality time with each other, on the golf course,” added Green.
At the same time, Aliante also unveiled a “Kids Play Free Program” where one child will play free with a regular paying adult every day after 1:00pm.
“Our ‘Family Tees’, combined with our Kids Play Free promotion make Aliante Golf Club even more family friendly for area residents and visitors alike”, stated Marc Orlowski, Director of Golf Operations at Aliante Golf Club. “We are pleased to provide this option which not only makes golf more affordable but also provides smoother entry into this great game,” added Orlowski.
